Gordon Ramsay’s Scrambled Eggs Breakfast
I saw this video a couple weeks ago and since then, this has been my breakfast every single morning. It's healthy. It takes 10 minutes. It's really, really tasty. Try it and let me know what you think.

Food Poisoning Sucks.

Don't eat food if it sits out for longer than 30 minutes. (especially food with mayo in it)

thoughts on breaking bread.
i write this from atlanta bread company (here in cool springs, tn). it surprises me this restaurant has become a franchise; as atlanta is not necessarily known for its bread. seattle has its coffee. idaho its potatoes. florida its oranges. but atlanta its bread? a
nyway, over the past couple days and weeks i have become concerned with primarily one thing: making myself and my life more productive by finding ways get things done faster. i've listened to numerous podcasts (manager tools) and read tons of productivity articles (43 folders), i've started developing my own process in answering email and working in the office.
however i've recently realized that not everything needs to be rushed and sped through. food and dining, for example, is not something that needs to be quickened. eating and enjoying a meal is about community and breaking bread. i've missed that somehow in the fray of work life…
i was out to dinner with a friend and manager of one of our speakers and he called me out for my ridiculously fast-eating habits. i have now elected to eating slower. i've gone as far as to say that, from now on i will be the last person to finish my meal. if you eat with me and i don't….i'll buy your meal. this is going to help me slow down, enjoy food, have richer conversations, and focus on community rather than the common "food is fuel" mindset.

farewell to the UBD.
the UBD will be torn down this month.   UBD slideshow
115 S. Debardeleben St. Auburn, AL aka. “the UBD”, “the Ugly Brick Duplex”, or “Ugly Boys Duplex”
i made this legendary auburn residence home for a short time during my auburn days. i came into the picture being the sixth roommate taking brian koon’s spot while he interned a fall semester. the other five, or as i like to call them, the allstar team of duncan chancellor, gray brantley, john pritchard, david ytterberg, and the infamous mr. james theodore farmer III.
the UBD was my favorite out of the four different places i lived while in school. i guess it was my favorite because of the many many memories that house held.
i was in auburn this past weekend so jp and i took a stroll to the UBD and see if it actually was still there. it was. but when i walked through it, it just felt empty. it lost it’s character. it lost it’s flavor. it lost it’s soul. the 5 guys who once inhabited it together are now spread throughout the southeast. 2 in nashville, 3 in auburn, and 1 in perry, ga.
here is a list of memories:
no pants tuesdays
spades tournaments
catching an un-named roommate (duncan) making out in the driveway
scaring that same un-named roommate after he watched saw
waking duncan up for mcdonalds breakfast after a late night
brotherhood & long nights in the cabin
gray’s dip cups all over the house (mine were contained to my room)
our serious sit down talks
john throwing gray’s dip cans away
jp’s general mood towards everyone in the house
late night talks on the roof
smoking cigars on the front porch
18 ft. snowman and tons of christmas lights
a breakin resulting in a loss of two shotguns, a watch, tons of dvds, & money
mr. jtf III not sharing his expensive furniture with the common area
25 person mafia games at 3am
duncan’s trips to walmart returning with 8 movies and no food
toxey, the black lab
gray running around in a thong that said, “rockstar”
taking duncan to return brian’s “leftovers” to hastings
bannister’s weekend visits
duncan’s closet of perfectly starched shirts
sing-a-long in the cabin
tb & jtf wine and cheese night in the cabin
james’ urns and pumpkins

YOU ARE DA MAN.
so jared calls me on friday to see what i’m up to on saturday. my tentative plans were to relearn how to swallow food and beverage, lay on the couch all day, and sleep. jared introduces the idea of going to an Indy Racing League event. while being a big BMW F1 fan, (go BMW-Sauber!) i decided if i felt up to par i would go.
saturday rolls around. i feel a ton better. so not only does jared deliver on the race tix, we have passes to the Firestone hospitality tent (a-thankyou). which does include free food, free beer, and a meeting with my future wife, mrs. danica patrick.
yes she’s looking directly into my eyes and yes, she’s married; but to some sicko who’s 16 years older than her. she’ll come looking for me when she’s divorced…. i know it.
anyway thanks again for the tickets jared. you are truly one of a kind and you know how to capture a man’s heart. i owe you 18 or dinner for you and your bride at ruth’s chris. you choose. thanks playa.

bad pics

what a great time with friends at the ol’ flying biscuit. food was great apart from the piece of plywood in a salad… what?
i love these picture. and here’s why: because at first i really wanted to delete them. i was like, “well that’s not a good picture of katherine and bethany or john.” but, they grew on me. no one takes pictures of the moments in between. people want to capture only the posed moments. well what about the unanticipated, unexpected times? shouldn’t those be remembered too? i think so. so here’s to closed eyes and goofy faces! you’re still beautiful; posing or not.
