T. Boone Pickens, Ma Dawg.
The above video is the "Pickens Plan" proposed by T. Boone Pickens, an oil man. (Not to be confused with Daniel Plainview). His short-term plan for solving the oil crisis is fantastic and it is simple enough to work. Also, check out his testimony in front of the Senate Energy Committee here.
Everyone has their own opinions on how to fix the problems this country faces. I have never voted before, so I can't say I really tow a party line. My views probably line up more towards the conservative side. I think the Democrats focus on great issues; I just don't agree with the way they plan to solve them…
Here are the issues I plan to vote on this November: the war in Iraq, the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage, our dependence on oil, our tax structure, second amendment rights, and how I think the next President will choose Supreme Court Justices.

wasn’t t boone pickens your old track coach?
I didn’t know you have never voted…you gotta get on that!
first of all, i blogged about this last week…i’m so glad its starting to get out there more and more. its so simple and all it takes is everyone wanting to work together. and as an entrepreneur, you can appreciate his initiative. anyway, there are a lot of things i think about it and what we can do until it is in place (about 10 years, according to t.boone) but i won’t bore you with that.
also, based on all the things you are voting for, you should check out bob bar (bobbarr2008.com) he’s the libertarian candidate…a former republican representative from georgia. he’s amazing. and with the division in america right now, he really stands a chance. i’m the same way - conservative with no party affiliation. this year, i think he’s the wisest choice.

Cheers.
Yeah, I like Pikens plan, but we have already attempted to go after wind resources and have had liberals like Ted Kennedy shoot it down bc the turbines would not look good in the landscape…leave it to the liberals to want something done and not want to sacrifice for it.
