so i saw Mat Kearney last night at Exit/In here in nVille. the concert was simply amazing. small venue, great sound, upclose and personal with the performer…. all recipes for an amazing show.
his album, Nothing Left to Lose (iTunes link), is an absolute must have. the song “in the middle” is my fave song right now. the lyrics, the style, the voice. the dude is talented. check out this chorus from the song….

yeah man.. great show. i saw kearney at zydeco here in b’ham last week. heavy on the bass. love his improv lyrics to the beat action. his lyrics get deep.. and scriptural. did griffin house open for him? i enjoyed that guy’s tunes too. griffin house used to play some young life stuff up in cincinnati.
